Power and Benefits of Exploration

If my work was a cake, a couple of the main ingredients would include curiosity and exploration.

I bring up 'exploration' because I was watching a movie recently and heard a quote from TS Elliot's, Little Gedding, Four Quartets that I've always liked and each time I hear or read it, it always makes me stop, think and explore. The quote itself hooks you in to what it actually relates to. That's what's so clever about it.

This is how it reads:

We shall not cease from exploration And the end of all our exploring Will be to arrive where we started And know the place for the first time.

How often in life does this occur to you? It could be food you've always eaten but one day you eat more slowly or with a different purpose and truly taste the flavour or texture. It could be a book you've read before but upon a second or each reading, you gain new/different meaning from it. In counselling we often visit and re-visit things and might gain separate insights with each encounter.

Remain curious and be your own explorer. The answers to all questions and the paths to all places can be found inside of us all.
