All that starts will end…and that's ok

I was giving this some thought the other day. I think it was due to a book I was reading and the mixed feelings of reaching the conclusion of something I’ve enjoyed reading. A sense of satisfaction, some sadness when I’ve warmed to and engaged with the characters and also a sense of wonder, excitement and nervousness what the next book that I read might be and will I enjoy it as much etc.

I appreciate this is hardly life altering, though reflecting on the smaller things can help us to manage the larger things.

This weekend is a Bank holiday weekend in the UK and as we enter into it, having the extra day feels like a gift and Monday seems far away. I know of course that in a blink of an eye I’ll be reflecting on when I sat down to write this and had the whole weekend ahead of me…and now it’s finished.

What will start…will end. This is the truth of life and time.

And with that in mind I wish to say a thank you and a farewell to everyone at Fertility Network UK. This charity has supported thousands of people over the many years it has been running and very sadly it’s winding down now and will leave a tearful gap in the sector.  There are new supportive organisations that have come into being over recent years which is comforting, though a goodbye is a goodbye and Fertility Network UK have been a good friend to many and that always makes a goodbye more difficult.
