Hot or Cold?
When I remember back to plunging or being immersed into cold water (a swimming pool, the sea, a shower etc) I can feel my body tensing up, often even before the event in preparedness and readiness for what’s about to happen. Whereas stepping into a heated swimming pool or taking a warm shower everything feels more relaxed and comfortable.
I’m wondering if this is the same with our minds. For example when we are cold towards someone or feel they may have been rude/cold or avoided us as opposed to when we smile at someone, do a kind deed or have received some form of generosity.
Have a think about your body / mind’s connection to heat and warmth vs cold and iciness. Where do you feel it, which is your preference right now and how best to change if this is desirable?
