I’m sitting here listening to fireworks going off and every so often if I’m lucky I can also catch the odd glimpse out of the window of bursts of light breaking through the darkness. There one moment and then disappeared, leaving just the memory.
I wish all those who celebrate a Happy Diwali.
Back to Horizons and it occurs to me that many people who come to see me share their distress about plans that aren’t working out, things they had hoped to achieve which haven’t materialised as thought, hoped or expected. Sometimes there’s good reason and sometimes not. It doesn’t always matter if reasons are known or not, it doesn’t seem to reduce the angst.
It occurs to me that whilst sometimes helpful to have some overall plan or objective and I appreciate for some this is a necessity – what is key is to take things one step at a time and rather than become fixed on the end game, stay present and focused on what’s in front of you.
A ship sailing towards its destination will use the Horizon for navigation BUT it will take the journey one nautical mile and one wave at a time. Sometimes the Horizon may appear to become more distant the closer we get. The journey is the Experience whether we want it to be or not.
I understand in many situations it’s not that easy, yet it is important. Keep reviewing your horizons and even when things appear to become more distant or out of reach, check what’s about to be grasped or has been carried out.
With this in mind, any men out there who are having (In) Fertility tests, checks or treatment at this time, if you wish to meet others going through similar or ask questions/find out more information….for International Men’s Day there’s a Men’s Talk event going on in London, next week on Friday 17th November dealing with all matters relating to Men’s Fertility.
