Yesterday morning I took one of my early walks and noticed up high in front of me was the most beautiful white moon. It was perfectly round, bright and suited the frosty atmosphere. However, it was light out and I wondered where the sun was, so I looked behind me and there she glowed, rising up – an amazing golden ball of fire.
For me this reflected once again the Yin / Yang of life and how opposing forces give way to everything in between. Here we had the images of both night and day, light and dark, warmth and cold (relatively speaking as it is winter right now!).
It made me think about beginnings and endings and endings and beginnings, which suits these weeks right now, as we approach the end of this year and consequently the beginning of a new just around the corner.
Everything keeps rolling into the next thing or event.
If you’ve had a difficult day, close your eyes and tomorrow is a new start. If you’ve had a fantastic day, close your eyes and keep hold of those memories (and smile). The memories may help you manage those trickier times.
Whether looking forward or reflecting, there will come a time when either we turn around and what was ahead is behind us or what we left behind catches up again. This is life…both behind and in front.
