Wise Words Part 2...

I recently read a short interview with Morgan Freeman (the actor).

In the article it was quoted that he said the following:

“The world does not promise you forgiveness. You have to try to live your life in such a way that you don’t need to be forgiven”. “Being thanked is much better than being forgiven”.

I found those end words very powerful, “Being thanked is much better than being forgiven”.

When was the last time you remember doing something that felt worthy of a Thank You from someone. It doesn’t matter so much if you were thanked or not, albeit none of us like being taken advantage of and more so, the Ego within us typically likes to be massaged or stroked with kind words, but regardless of feedback, living our lives doing (where possible) helpful deeds can be very rewarding in and of itself. The TAOIST and Spiritual way would be for no reward other than having carried out the task.

Perhaps we can all pay attention to this statement and on a daily basis remind ourselves of the power of those words and follow it through.

Collectively it would make a difference…
